This statement with study guide was developed by the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy (ACSWP) to encourage a churchwide process of reflection, discussion and understanding about the issues raised by the military action in Iraq. It raises the question "How can Presbyterians seeking to be faithful understand the war in Iraq and respond with a Christian perspective?"  The statement was approved by the 215th General Assembly 2003.
